High School Public Speaking Invitational

Temecula St. Jeanne Catholic FFA  is proud to be hosting a Public Speaking Invitational Tuesday, January 10th from 3:30pm to 6:30pm at St. Jeanne de Lestonnac High School and we would like to invite you to participate as a judge.  This is our third year hosting this event and  includes freshman through seniors from schools throughout north Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego Counties.

The purpose of the Public Speaking Invitational is to provide an opportunity for personal growth and premier leadership by enhancing the speaking skills of participants. The event also encourages civic participation and cultivates communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement.

Given your commitment to the Temecula Valley, we thought this would be a great event for you to mentor our youth and to learn firsthand how Temecula St. Jeanne Catholic FFA and the National FFA works to promote high-quality education and career development for students.

As a judge, you will evaluate FFA members who have put a lot of hard work, dedication and commitment into preparing for the speaking events in which they are participating. Your job is to select the members who have best prepared themselves for their event.

All judges are asked to be present at 3:30pm in faculty lounge for an orientation before the events begin. The events are usually completed by 6:30 pm.  When your event is done, we ask that you report to the tabulation room to submit your results and you are free to leave. This is a learning experience and members do benefit from hearing direct input from you. They may ask you questions if you make yourself available.

Please fill out the Judge Information Form so we can send you details regarding the event you would like to judge. If you have any questions, please contact me. We look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your time.
