After School Learning Programs

Saint Jeanne’s also provides enrichment in the area of mathematics.  The school has implemented the Accelerated Math Program in grades 1-8 to improve student’s proficiency in various math skills/objectives.

In addition, students in grades 3-8 also have the opportunity to take part in an after school Math Support Program which provides additional instruction and support.

The Daycare Program is offered by Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School as a service to our families. The goal of the Daycare Program is to offer quality supervision by a competent and caring staff in an environment in which the children feel safe and “at home”.  Each afternoon the children are able to participate in a period of free play, homework time, outdoor games, and inside activities to combine a balance of structured and unstructured time.

Children enrolled in the Preschool and Prekindergarten program attend a separate daycare in a preschool/prekindergarten classroom. They participate in art, hands-on and outdoor activities.

Playground supervision is available on all school days Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. with no charge.  Families needing earlier care, can make special arrangements as early as 6:30 a.m. if needed. Extended Care is available after school from dismissal time from 3:15 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.  Daycare is also available on all minimum days as stated on the school calendar.

In order to meet the needs of our working parents, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School provides after school extended daycare for our students. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for our children to work on homework assignments and to have the opportunity to interact with each other in a supervised environment.

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School provides two levels of extended daycare. The first level is for children in preschool and prekindergarten. The second level is for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Preschool/Prekindergarten children are provided age appropriate activities during before and after school hours. Elementary/Middle School students are provided an area to work on homework assignments and given the opportunity for physical activity and social interaction.

Extended Daycare is on an as needed basis and no admission forms are required. Students who are not picked up at the end of the school day are automatically signed into daycare by their teachers. Students who are not picked up from after school activities, such as sports/debate/theater, etc. are signed into daycare by their advisors/coaches.

Daycare bills are issued through FACTS.  Payments are due by the 15th of the month before late charges are added. The following current charges for Extended Care are:
